Freeing the spirit through movement and reflection
We are called to flow, move and dance in our lives, each of us with our own form and style. The tempo and timing, the steps and moves vary. At times we connect with others, and at times we are off on our own path. Yes, we are created to move and to dance, each in our own way.
Yet with all the movement, we also need time for reflection; to find that "still point" within ourselves. Our society urges us to consume and to be busy. We can easily live our whole lives on that plane and feel hungry inside. Being still and taking a step back can provide the missing ingredient; a depth that encompasses joy and sorrow, and everything in between. We can become more aware of the sacred in our everyday lives; the Mystery and the meaning.
Explore that balance between movement and stillness by paying attention to your own inner landscape. Visit the place in you where your spirit can come alive. Experience spaciousness in your life and take a breath while connecting with others who long for the same.
"Except for the point, the still point,
there would be no dance,
and there is only the dance.”
T.S. Eliot, from the Four Quartets
